Team Wrinkly

The first Thursday run in April was cancelled, so that we could attend St. Helens Church, Churchtown, to enable us to pay our respects to Dave Clarke, following his unfortunate accident.

For the rest of this month we managed to go off-road without being up to our knees in mud.  In fact it was just as hard under foot as on the road. What a glorious month April turned out to be.

The first Thursday in May saw us navigating round Pendle Hill; nine miles of tough but super running. Conditions were great and the views were fantastic. For the rest of the month, which turned out to be rather damp, we managed to get away with decent days.

Thursday 24th was the day when a number of Wrinkly’s ventured abroad, to Portugal. It was a week of hot weather. With the exception of one morning, when we had drizzle, it was cloudless skies all week.

One other sad day was probably our last Public Holiday run from the Cartford Arms at Little Eccleston; the Pub has changed hands. At the time of writing it would appear that it will be changing to a French Restaurant.

Don’t forget anyone can join us on our Thursday runs/walks, more the merrier. Just get in touch with me.
