SPONSORSHIP REQUEST FROM ANNE DOCHERTY

 

I am off to Canada on Friday and will be doing a Tandem Skydive with my lovely daughter, Laura next Sunday.

 

The reason being, she has volunteered to to work with underprivileged children in Panama in the summer, but has to find her own funds. As time is of the essence, I need to ask if anyone out there would be kind enough to sponsor us, before I can give you anymore details. It's all arranged through Global Volunteering and that's as much as I know at the moment.

 

Brian Porter has kindly donated £10 already. Thanks to Brian for that.

Subject: London Marathon - please help

Hi

If you've been watching my profile on Facebook you'll know that on April 25th I will be pounding the streets of London at the Virgin London Marathon, in aid of the Anthony Nolan Trust for leukaemia.

But I'm not stopping there: I'm also taking 20 students with me to provide sports massage at the post race reception for the Anthony Nolan Trust.

I first became aware of The trust a few years ago when a work colleague asked me to run for the charity because one of their family members was ill with leukaemia. Since then I have lost a former student to leukaemia and a friend of mine is currently waiting for a stem cell transplant. So I'm really keen to do as much as I can for the Charity.
