MESSAGE FROM YOUR CHAIRMAN

Hi Folks,

During the past 2 months or so your Committee have been considering an invite received from Gary Stevens a member of Astley and Tyldesley AC, (they of the Gin Pit fame), for us to take part in the "Central Lancs Grand Prix" series in 2010.

This series has been going for 20 or more years but the organisers pulled out after the 2008 series finished and A & T, along with a few other of the original clubs, took on the organisation for 2009. That’s were we, and several other clubs, came into the equation.

Gary, along with some other members, have had to start from square one and they needed to attract up to 10 clubs to carry it on past 2009 and, as you will see from the Minutes, they have reached 9 confirmed clubs. Wesham is one of them but that is what it is about so you would be advised to read the Minutes and take from them what you want, bearing in mind that it is ‘you’ who is integral to the success or failure of this venture.

The main thing is to look at the fixtures and team requirements with organisers of any Wesham events noting the provisional dates and trying to work things round them. Everybody else put them in your diary for next year and let’s see how good a racing club we really are.

Any questions you have are probably best aimed at me and I will answer to the best of my ability. If they are relevant to everyone I will publish Q and A on the Message Board and, with Brenda's help, as a round robin.
