HAPPY NEW YEAR LADIES – AND CROSS COUNTRY

...no sooner have we eaten, drunken and been merry its time to dust off them spikes, (or indeed wash them if there still in the carrier bag from last time!) and get all excited for the 08 cross country fixtures!

For those of you already entered there is Burnley this Saturday (5th), and the good news is, that even if you haven't already entered you can still enter on the day.

On the 12th Jan we have the much anticipated and loved Lancaster cross country - the best course there is to run, (and you can bet your bottom dollar it'll be a little bit muddy!!!!).  One of my favourite runs ever - so come along and enjoy!

With Burnley & Lancaster just being warm ups for the first WRR day trip of 2008 is the Northerns at Roundhey Park in Leeds!  This will be a superb day out, the competition will be strong and the atmosphere fantastic!  Just taking part in these sorts of events puts you up there with some of the best runners in the country.

All those that enjoyed cross country last year, I know you can't wait to get back into it, for any ladies that haven't yet tried it - make it a 2008 resolution and come along and do it!

The camaraderie amongst WRR runners, the whole getting changed in the tent thing, the wellies and all make for a fun day out!!  So come along and enjoy...

All that said, may I offer my sincere apologies for not actually being able to make any of the above 3 events, (sack me as captain eh?!), but you know I will with you in spirit cheering you on, and when your struggling and wondering "what on earth or why am I doing this" - I shall cheer you on that little bit more - just not in person!!  As always though there will be a meeting point at The Fairfield on the day, where everyone can meet up and travel together.

Any questions you have please just give me a call/text on 07973 225304.

Good luck and enjoy the events, I am quite jealous I can't make it - especially towards the end of the month as I will be working then instead of running about in mud!!!
