IT’S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN......

...... when the mud thickens and deepens sucking shoes from feet and exhausting leg muscles, when at other times the ground‘s ankle-twisting hard, when the weather’s dry and sunny on weekdays and perishing cold and raining on the Saturday, when the usually welcoming changing facilities become littered with an accumulation of other people’s dirty socks, when the showers clog sending levels of unwholesome black water rising towards your possessions, when your toes are numb and your fingers so cold you can’t  pin on your number, when you take home piles of muddy clothes which never come clean again, when you wonder what the heck you‘re doing there .........

YES, IT’S THE CROSS-COUNTRY SEASON

Can you resist it?
