Red Rose Inter Club - Change of Date.

The date of the Red Rose Inter Club Race has been put back one week and will now take place on Wednesday, the 9th of September 2009.

The reason being is that there is a circus on Worden Park during the week that our event was planned and South Ribble Borough Council think that one circus at a time is sufficient.

Also, whist traffic on Runshaw Lane is relatively quiet during our Boxing Day 10K Race, Committee have been concerned about the volume and speed of traffic on this lane during the evening Inter Club Race. Accordingly, this has lead to us considering another route which is mainly within the confines of Worden Park with some sections of pavement running outside the park. The course will be clearly flagged and marshalled and marshals will be on hand to advise runners to keep to the pavement on the parts of the course outside the park. The distance of the new route is 4.2 miles.

The post race refreshments will be as last year at the Eagle and Child, Church Road, Leyland.
