Wesham’s Multi Event Day!

On Saturday we again had the unfortunate
clash of the Wesham 10k and a Mid-Lancs Cross-Country fixture
incorporated into the UKA Challenge
event, (and European Trials), in Liverpool.
Not much chance
of a good turnout at cross-country as most of our members would probably, quite
understandably, concentrate their efforts on the Wesham 10k in the morning and give the Sefton Park event a miss. What nonsense! That would reckon without
the determination, dedication and commitment within the club.


Twelve men took to the
The “A” team finished 4th, the “B”
team 3rd, Vet 40 team 5th and Vet 50
team 2nd each
in their respective divisions. At individual level, Dave Waywell completed his second victory of the season in the Vet 60 category. Well-done to you all.

We do not know at this stage if the UKA Challenge will be on the final Saturday of November next
year. We will, however, be approaching the Mid-Lancs
League to find an alternative venue if necessary.
