WESHAM RR
Three comrades, plus
one ever suffering wife, pre made their way to the "Smoke" to make a weekend of it to be joined, on the day, by their three
remaining comrades, passports at the ready, who made the long, and
perilous, journey south, fuelled by copious amounts of coffee, on the day.
The pre race warm up
consisted of lugging the tent to the event, via the Underground, from Brent Cross to the venue. Once
erected, the tent of course, it was a quick recce of the course before battle
commenced lead from the front by Wesham’s hardy perennial, Alex R who, despite biting
the dust, metaphorically speaking, still crossed the line, somewhat battered
and bruised, as Wesham’s leading man, followed by the evergreen John C, your Dear Leader, Mark M, Trevor R (who’s he?) and the ever, ever, ever green Dave Y.
To summarize, "a
good time was had by all", and, as always,
everyone's efforts were much appreciated.
