MESSAGE FROM EL CAPITANO
Hi Brenda and Comrades
The Kraken wakes
with batteries fully recharged after holidaying with comrades Kim
II-sung and Vladimir Putin in
North Korea and mother Russia, what
fun I had tracking down errant American journalist
and accompanying Vlad on his recent photo shoot's
out in the wilds of Siberia, not sure about the
dodgy pic's of him stripped to the waist showing off his peck’s and I have to
take issue with the Western Press for
airbrushing me out of said pic's whilst posing in my Wesham vest,
to cap it all I got to meet Bill C for a
round of Golf on Kim's
private golf course.
Whilst holidaying Mrs.
G and I also staged a mini reconstruction of the D
- Day invasion storming into France via le
Chunnel and taking Boulogne in
two days, then straight on through France, over
the Rhine to Munchen, 500 miles
conquering all before us, all in one day. Vienna fell
several days later under the might of the Glasgow’s then
it was back to Munchen for a celebratory
drink with Wesham's airborne invasion force, the Rayners, and
the Germans thought they invented Blitzkrieg.
Now it's down to more serious
matters, time for the comrades to wake up, smell the grass and sharpen up those
spikes for the coming Cross Country
conflict, the season opener being held at Kendal, 10th
October 09 followed by the Mansfield
relays on Saturday 31st October, 28th November sees
us taking the fight to Liverpool followed by
a trip to Burnley, 19th December to
round off 2009.
The New Year,
9th January, 2010, it's the Lanc's XC
Championships followed by a Mid Lanc's event
at Wigan, 16th January, 23rd January and
it's Blackburn for the Northerns, the 5th
Mid Lanc's takes place at Hyndburn, 13th
February, Roundhay Park, Leeds is the 2010 venue
for the Nationals on February
27th all capped off with a trip to Barrow for
the final mid Lanc's race, 06th March.
Your Dear
Leader will be asking for combatants to contest the Mansfield
Relays very shortly with lot's of rousing reminders and calls to
arms live on club nights, you have been warned.
