Opportunity for promoting Wesham Road Runners

Hi Folks

Most of you will have seen a copy of the Northern Running Guide or maybe just heard of it.  The editor, Terry Brennan, has invited the members of Wesham to submit an article for his next magazine about a runner’s favourite running route within Lancashire.

Previous articles have covered Northumberland and Cumbria.  So this is a golden opportunity to get our own area in it.

Here's an outline of what they are looking for:

1.        About 800/900 words;

2.        Description of a popular or memorable local run to include starting point, directions for route, type of terrain (road, trail, grassland etc), flat/hilly sections, nice views, finishing point.

3.        Any memorable landmarks along the way - do you run under a railway arch or by a canal?

4.        Are there opportunities to extend the basic run / or to cut it short if time's an issue.

5.        Is there parking?  Or if it's a run from home - think of a central start/finish point.

6.        A photo of runners on the route is the icing on the cake.

If someone decides to take this on they are most welcome to contact Terry Brennan on:
