AN APPEAL FROM GRAHAM VICKERS

For

McMillan nurses and also St. Catherine’s Hospice

As you may or may not know I usually do one race a year for charity. This is usually for St. Catherine’s Hospice. Just before Christmas my best friend of nearly 40 years died suddenly and his wife is also terminally ill, she is being cared for by the McMillan nurses and also St. Catherine’s, the family are raising funds for both charities and I have said I will help. Because I don’t want to swamp people with sponsor forms Louise has hand made a lovely rabbit beautifully dressed and also a hand made ladies shoulder bag, these exclusive items we will be selling raffle tickets for, or if people would like one making in a special colour or material, Louise will do that.

Raffle tickets will be available on Monday nights, (at club), and at most races. If anyone would like to buy a bag they are £10 pounds and the rabbits are £15 all proceeds will go to St Catherine's and McMillan nurses.

Final Draw

The winning No's were green 130 for the rabbit and green 96 for the ladies shoulder bag.

Many thanks to all who bought tickets and helped raise £52. There will be another raffle drawn on 7th May for another rabbit and a second prize as well. Louise also has taken a number of orders for rabbits as gifts, christening presents etc which will all be going towards the charity. We thank you all and hope you will continue to buy tickets or purchase a rabbit as a special gift.

Cheers

Can I firstly thank everyone again for buying more tickets for St Caths & McMillan Nurses you have helped me raise more than £140 which is appreciated by myself and also Kenny's parents who wanted to thank the Hospice for all they have done and are still doing for Kenny's widow who herself is terminally ill. The winning No's were 491/495 white which was won by Susan Eaton for little Emily May and the second prize was won by a lady in my block of flats 426/430 white.

Thanks once more and just to remind you Louise is still taking orders for the Rabbits which have proved very popular
